It's the NYC, New Wave garage rock schtick but with a sense of humour. The influences are clearly (because they said so) The Cramps and also The Jon Spencer Blues Explosion who they will be supporting throughout Europe this spring.

Guitarist Nick Zinner's scuzzed-out blues riffs make up for the absence of a bass player, while Karen O sings, half-moaning, in a bratty vibrato somewhere between a come-on and a fuck-you.
